Bio

Alessandro completed his M.A.Sc degree in Neuroscience at the University of Trieste and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Bologna. He received his doctorate in 2024 under the joint tutelage of the University of Leipzig and the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences. He has worked on mate choice and timing judgment at the Champalimaud Center for the Unknown in Lisbon, and on signal processing, EEG, and auditory localization in Leipzig. He curates immersive EEG performances and installations with the aiar Collective. At the RHAD Lab, he is developing a project on automatic facial expression analysis for evaluating perceived sound features.
